 In the ancient time, traditionally it was handwoven using natural dyes and cotton, and silk fabric. The Pichora is the use of auspicious symbols like SWASTIK, which represent goo look, prosperity and protection.

EVOLUTION 

It evolved in years, Today it made of Chiffon and Georgette fabrics are commonly used offering a lightweight and comfortable feel.

The innovation happens in embroidery and patterns as well.

CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE

The cultural significance of pichora , the womens were this for the first time in their marriage which symbols the synergy of a married women in Uttrakhand, after which it becomes a ritual for a married women to were it on all special religious occasions.
