 Uttrakhand is a state of tradition and culture.

Nath which is famous traditional jewellery of uttrakhand wear by many communities of uttrakhand like - kumaoni, garhwali, jonsari and bhotiyas.


Nath have its own traditional significant which symbolises martial status , family bonds and cultural values.

            During marriage nath is gifted by brides maternal uncle (mama) to her in the form of blessings for happily married life.


Some types of nath which have different meaning:- 


Phool Nath :- In which the flower represent growth, beauty and fertility.


Moon Nath:- In which the moon represent serenity, calmness, and illumination 


Palki Nath:- In which palki represent luxury, comfort and royality.


Peacock Nath:- In which peacock represent beauty, pride and good fortune.


Passley Nath:- In which passley represent connection, unity and strength.


Beads Nath:- In which beads represent simplicity, elegance and spirituality.


Pearl Nath :- In which pearl represent purity, innocence and wisdom.

 A traditional attire, PICHORA of Uttarakhand's kumaun region.  ORIGIN   In the ancient time, traditionally it was handwoven using natural dyes and cotton, and silk fabric.
